That's what I built to annoy my bank neighbour back at school.
It's a small stun gun at an operating voltage of 300 V.
The pain caused is not very intense.
It runs on a flatcell 3V battery as you can see in the pictures.

Let's take a look inside:
There's a little 3V flatcell battery, a small trafo, a small indicator lamp and of course a switch.
Here's proof that this little device just works fine shocking other people.
And during boring lessons I discovered something pretty weird shocking myself, but see for yourself:

ReplyDeletelooks like you've discovered interosseous muscles, stunning them causes the movement of your finger, depending on which muscle you stun the finger abducts or adducts. :)
