Coilgun 2

This is another coilgun i built.

 Detailed information and pictures after the break!



The coilgun has two capacitors with a combined capacity of 4400uF at a voltage of 300V.
Parts from an old softair rifle were added at the top.
The trigger is Thyristor based and the projectiles are small pieces of screws. The stored electric energy is E=0,5*C*U²


As you can see there are some leds and a laser at the front. I will provide more pictures, videos and schematics in upcoming posts!

    i only have 3 4400 micro farad caps.... trying to find something with a little more uumph, and then hope to build my own.

    have you ever thought about putting an induction coil as your first stage?
